Pitchfork

(Crop Top: gifted, High Waisted Mint Shorts : American Apparel)

An old post, I decided to share here.

I’m sure when any girl decides to attend a music festival, the second thing she does besides research the featured artists is contemplate what to wear. With such pressure to look fashionable as H&M, Free People, Dimepiece, Steve Madden and even Big Brother WILL be watching, this could be a stressful task. However, through my previous experiences at music festivals/concerts I know an outfit can add or take away from an experience, especially if you’re like me who NEEDS to be front row or nothing. Yes, I’m that crazy B. So I kept it basic and I’m so glad I did. My feet would have not survived during M.I.A’s intense set with cute sandals.

Song of the Day:

Blood Orange | Bad Girls

Blood Orange performed on the last day of Pitchfork. I really dig his style, reminds me a lot of Prince whom I am a huge fan of (Fun Fact: I watched Purple Rain at the age of four, which NO child should be watching at that age). Another fun fact, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) is the lead guitarist/co-writer/producer of Solange, which explains her transition into a refined, soulful yet upbeat sound in her most recent album (I love that girl).  His performance at Pitchfork was alluring and sensual especially when he sung Bad Girls ( Solange also sings a version in her

True

album.) I'll be recommending more songs from the both of them later on.
